Mercer County has accepted electronic recordings since 2010.The process is similar to traditional recording methods except that documents are submitted within minutes without ever leaving your house or office, and recorded documents are returned electronically immediately after recording. E-Recording can save your business time, money and convenience.
As of 3/17/2015 the County Auditor and County Engineer elected to discontinue their participation in e-Recording. Therefore, effective March 17, 2015 please note: deeds, easements, oil and gas leases, land contracts, affidavits of TOD or confirmation, and similar such documents are no longer eligible for e-Recording. They must be hand delivered to each department.
