A monthly payment plan may be an option for taxpayers who have become past due with their property taxes. Property owners entering into delinquent Contracts can become current on their property taxes by, (1) making a monthly payment for their prior delinquent taxes and, (2) keeping all future real tax bills paid in full by the due date.

Penalties and interest will be deferred on the past due account as long as terms of the Contract are followed. If payments are missed, the Contract is subject to being voided and the penalty and interest that would have been added prior to the Contract will be reinstated.

Any property that is more than one (1) year past due and not participating in a delinquent monthly payment plan Contract can be subject to foreclosure or a tax lien sale. All payment plan Contracts are subject to review by the Treasurer for eligibility. To inquire about an agreement, please call the Treasurer’s office at (419) 586-2259.

Additional payments can be made on the contracts at any time, or a contract can be paid off early without penalty. For additional information, please contact the Treasurer’s Office at (419) 586-2259.
