PARENTING CLASS

Any party to a family law action in which issues of parental rights and responsibilities are to be determined are required to attend this court’s parenting class in order to assist the court in making the best decisions for the children and to attempt to minimize the negative impact this matter may have on the children.

Your attendance is required by local court rule as authorized by state statutes and Supreme Court Rules, and must be completed. The program is intended to benefit all parties equally, but it is your children who will gain the most from your participation.

There is a one-time attendance fee of $30.00 per person which is payable at the start of the class. Registration is made upon the filing of your divorce/dissolution or re-opening of your case. After the filing of your action, the court will send a letter advising each party of the assigned date and time of the class he/she is required to attend.
