The Treasurer's Office is also responsible for maintaining various accounts ranging from the simple depositories to complex accounts that hold all of the county's investments. Mercer County invests all available funds to receive the highest possible return according to the Ohio Revised Code Section 135.35. These investments are reviewed monthly by the Investment Advisory Committee Consisting of the Treasurer and two County Commissioners.
Direct withdrawals, Credit card processing through a third party, and escrowing your taxes are some of the services we provide. Delinquent payment programs are available as well, and we will be happy to help you with any of these programs.
The Mercer County Treasurer's Office now accepts payment with credit card online and by phone, but NOT in the office. Important information about paying with credit card.
We do have an Escrow Plan for the Real Estate Taxes as well as the Manufactured Home Taxes. These programs start in August each year. Coupons are mailed so monthly payments can be made toward the taxes.
There is also a Delinquent Tax payment plan. We will enter into a contract plan for you to pay your delinquent taxes by the month. Manufactured Homes and Real Estate both have these plans.
If anyone has questions about these services and programs please call our office at 419-586-2259.
